2026 Color Trend Predictions!

Updated: 3 days ago

Each year, Sherwin-Williams unveils its vision for the colors that will define the coming seasons—and for 2026, the focus is clear: warmth, simplicity, and connection to nature. Their Color of the Year, Universal Khaki SW 6150, anchors this movement, supported by four stunning new palettes in the Colormix® Forecast: Anthology Volume Two.

The result is a return to the classics—soft neutrals, organic tones, and deeply restorative colors that feel both grounded and refined.

Universal Khaki is a warm, mid-tone tan neutral with a slight yellow undertone. It was chosen to reflect a growing desire for simplicity, timelessness, and connection to nature.

  • It is described as a versatile and "go-anywhere shade" that works well with both warm and cool tones, making it suitable as a foundational color for the whole house.

  • The selection was also made in conjunction with HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, marking the first time the two brands have teamed up for a joint color of the year.
